Google Fail, er, Buzz

If you're wondering why I just unfollowed/blocked you on Google Buzz, don't take it personally - I've unfollowed/blocked everyone until Google can figure out how privacy works (a hint: not like this). If you want to do that yourself, just click on the Buzz link (mine is on the left side above the Inbox link) and click "Edit" at the top to change the name (because OMG my full real name was attached to my non-real-name Gmail account and multiple other people's real names/Gmails for days and I didn't even know - until just now I never even clicked on anything to do with Buzz, much less posted anything), then click on the "has $foo followers" to block people and "is following $foo" to unfollow people.

gmail
you tube
google docs
picasa
okurt
buzz
and many more. all are owned and linked by google.

I was unpleasantly surprised by Google's thingy.

if you don't have a Gmail address; you are safe*

Those things [livejournal.com profile] unseelie listed are connected to each other in Google Buzz unless you specifically make them not connected. I really, sincerely hope they haven't taken their pushing so far that people without Gmail/Google accounts but who do have accounts at other sites were given similar auto-Buzz accounts (meaning you have an account whether you made one or not) - I have not heard of them doing so, FWIW.
