Sometimes you get these video game cravings. . .

I want a building/farming/crafting/creation game and I want it now. I'm tempted to make a free account for A Tale in The Desert just to scratch that itch, then create a paid account when Bastet Shard opens in a few days and either joint T5 when it begins or stick around on Bastet, depending on how the shard experiment goes.

Alternatively, does anyone have such a game they can recommend? (The Harvest Moon series has that annoying deadline thing that takes the fun out of it)

There are times when I really enjoy the multi-player aspect and times when I am Not In The Mood. So I too would love to hear non-MM alternatives (admittedly there are things one can do without too much interaction in ATITD, but I like to have options :).

It's so so so much more efficient to share buildings, and the economic backbone isn't setup well to be able to really specialize unless you've got a semi-socialist setup. So (IMO) the "right" way to play it is in guilds. If I could ignore that, I could probably enjoy playing it single player :-}.
