I share because I love, internet fail edition

I must share this trainwreck because on the one hand it is the funniest damn thing I have seen all day and on the other hand when the writers of the Old Testament gave more personage to women than you do[1], you are officially made of fail.

[1] Not Stealing is a different commandment than Not Coveting Someone's Wife for a reason y'all.

OMFG

The animated, rotating, metallic logo alone! Wow.

Did you hear the soundclip? Scroll over the spinning logo, it's hifailrious!

I didn't, my speakers were off — I'll check again.

HOLY CRAP.

I hadn't even seen the tie-pin image at first, I hadn't scrolled all the way to the bottom (I was just talking about the logo at the top of the page).

It's funny, though: in the pictures, he doesn't look fifteen.

Have you figured out what it is yet?

[identity profile] benndragon.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
I admit, I didn't look hard enough to see if it was a parody or an actual instance of. . . hold on, need to look up the term. . . the seduction community. I'm afraid of what I'll find if I do look that hard. . .

I--uh--buh? Is this for realz?

WTF?

I'm afraid it might be, I got the link from an ad during male soap opera professional wrestling.

Looks like if you wait long enough, it turns into a video game ad. So, parody.

It's like a fifty-year old with a teenager's sense of cool making a circa-1997 website.

"Hawks are cool. Panthers are cool. Let's combine both and it'll be the coolest screen name ever!"

It appears to be an advertisement for the video game Dante's Inferno.

Yeah, [livejournal.com profile] popetom is right... which I think rather annoys me more than if it had been earnest... because the former would be the action of some internet kook whereas the latter is the action of an advertising agency and/or marketing department that ought to know better. Tacky.

The whole marketing history of Dante's Inferno is one long bad decision. This website is par for the course.
