An Annoucement from the Great and Glorious Leader of Brynnistan

You are all honored guests in the great and glorious land of Brynnistan. So honored that you are free to leave at any time. You need not even tell me that you are leaving - my spies beloved citizens will inform me of this without any effort on your part. So if you feel that I am not running the great and glorious land of Brynnistan in a proper fashion, you know where the great and glorious door is. All I ask of my honored guests is that you not waste my time with threats of leaving, as my benevolent dictator's plate is rather too full right now to be wasting time on the complaints of honored guests who do not appreciate my benevolence. If you ignore this request, the usual punishment of dishonor by poorly written haiku will be met on your person. You're welcome, honored guests.

Sadly, V and I will have to be hermits out in the Wastes of Brynnistan. V has been the happy achronal baby up until Sunday, when she suddenly needed to be in bed by 8. And woe betide the parent who risks her (high-volumed) displeasure. For lo, there shall be screaming for hours.

And this is why parents are, as a rule, uncool. We have all the cool beaten out of us by our children.

It's probably for the best that you guys couldn't make it last night - one of the rockers was getting over a cold. But Brynnistan is only my LJ, so you can be a more active honored guest more easily than attending my weekly rocking out events. We will still miss V and her entourage though - hopefully she'll pick a more convenient bedtime at some point ;).
