brynndragonI have to accept that there are some people in this world, people I like and even love, that I can not help. "If only" doesn't change the fact that I can not help them. I don't have to become someone else to help them, and they don't have to become someone else so I can help them, I just have to let go and trust that they will find that someone else who can help them. In letting go, I can focus on finding and helping the people I can help. It also has the added bonus of me not going quietly insane.
(This isn't directly related to yesterday's upheaval, but rather to circumstances that allowed my role in it to occur. It's not been a good month for me in many ways, about which I've said extremely little. Leave it to family to bring out those things you were trying to keep hidden. . .)
