Evolution Weekend 2009

In honor of Darwin's 200th birthday, I wish to share with you Evolution Weekend 2009. Congregations across the nation and the world are getting together to both seriously discuss the relationship between science and religion and demonstrate that there is no inherent conflict between the theory of evolution and religious belief. Even if religion isn't your bag, you might still wish to mention it to friends and family who are religious. People can participate this year by finding a congregation in their area (via the pull-down menu), or they can see if their religious leader/congregation would be willing to participate next year.

Turning annoyance into giggles

In response to something at the church of Google, I present to you:

[Poll #1348269]

(This is way more fun than analyzing the trend of using female pronouns for God as an aspect of satire)
