And I meant to comment on the other post: I don't think I've been doing what you describe, but I *do* occasionally try and reconcile my EW/CM perceptions with my science background/orientation. I think it's more ecumenicism than it is worshipping at one altar and sacrificing all other creeds on that altar, but if it bugs you, I'm happy to avoid it.

You are most assuredly not one of the folks I was talking about. In fact, I generally take your stand on the matter. It's the unthinking skeptics and some of the folks who have come to a different conclusion on TCM than I have (that's fine in and of itself, but assuming that I in turn am blindly following something without being able to accept that I have simply interpreted the available data differently is a problem) who bug me ;).
