Classes

It is that magical time of year, when a student's thoughts scurry as rapidly as possible away from the approaching school year with cries of "But there's still more than a month of summer left!". But I am no ordinary student, thus the appearance of a course schedule on the Harvard Extension website sends my heart soaring. The emptiness I felt after leaving the learning nest will be filled with homework and textbook readings, studying for tests and chewing through pencils with the stress of it all. It is far more filling than video games and rivals the pleasures of riding my beloved Ankai. It is a joyful thing, because I'm fulfilling my purpose in life - to learn.

Alright, enough of that. I think I'm gonna take Biochem and the other half of Human Physiology. Yea, two classes - I'm ramping up, ya know ;P. This will mean a bit of finagling of my schedule, since Biochem is Monday nights when I normally hang out with friends, but classes don't start until the 18th of September so it shouldn't be difficult to get it sorted out by then. It will also mean I'll have done all my pre-reqs and probably fulfilled all the co-reqs except microbiology by spring. Furthermore I'll have more really good recent grades (I hope) to bolster my argument that I've gotten a lot more disciplined and serious about my studies in the 5 years since I left college. I had some astounding terrible grades in college that dragged my grade point down (including one class whose final paper I skipped altogether because a soul-crushing dumping had happened that month and something had to give), which worries me. I'd really hate to not get in after all of this.
