So, I was reading through LJ and someone mentioned finding some good motorcycle pants for cheap here. So I opt to go over and wander around for a bit. Turns out they have the better of the two helmet types that actually fit my head, for the cost that most internet places have for the not so good type, in colors that I've never seen listed for my head size before (particularly the deep metallic color and the silvery metallic color). However, I can't justify buying it right now. Ah, well, I'll convince myself it's too good to be true. . .

Addendum: They have a helmet in my size for a grand total of $106 including shipping (no sales tax - I love the internet :). Well, I should say "had" because I've purchased it. Why is it so cheap? Because it fits like <1% of the population (nevermind the cross-section that rides motorcycles) and it's "vivid orange". I'm gonna skip the american flag decoration this time around and go with a General Lee motif instead, I think ;).

You were looking at the RF-900? If so, maybe you should buy the "Vivid Orange" XXS model, which if I do my math right is: $98. Yeah, $98. Might want to check with them on that. I could let you miss a check or something to get a $350 helmet for $98.

I am a little leary of the site - I'm hoping these aren't helmets of the "only dropped once!" variety.
