My Day Just Gets Better

brynndragonI got to work, turned off my car and tried to take the key out. No dice - it won't even turn all the way to the lock position. Decide to see if it can turn on - no dice there either. Doesn't even try to ignite. Receptionist recommended jiggling the steering wheel but that does nothing (which is fine by me, I don't need a Nintendo car. . .).
I talked about it with a cow-orker who recommended this shop for general car issues (they only suggest repairs that are needed and have even gone so far as to do extra work at no charge for little things, plus they're not too far from my house). So I gave them a call. They probably wouldn't get to it today but they could definitely do it by tomorrow. This is about what I expected, so I called AAA to get my car towed over there. Hopefully they'll find the right entrance (I told them it was the north entrance), I already asked the receptionist to call me when they get here. Unfortunately none of my housemates are home right now so I have no way to get home to have lunch. The cow-orker who told me about the shop also said she'd give me a ride home, so that's not a concern. Getting to game (and to work tomorrow) concerns me, hopefully someone will get my e-mail re: game and give me a ride. Maybe I can bribe one of my housemates to give me a ride to and from work, and even go with me to pick up my car.
But I would like to state: whoever you are, you can stop now. I'm beginning to get annoyed, and you won't like me when I'm annoyed. . .
Addendum: The AAA guy got here, shifted it to neutral, shifted it back to park, and magically my inginition functions as normal. Either I didn't put it properly in park (and since that has never happened to me I wouldn't've thought to check it, and it functioned as if it was in park, i.e. it lurched forward slightly and didn't move after that), the connection between the shifter and the ignition (telling it that it's in park) is loose, it's a classic case of bogons vs. cluons, or whoever they are got my message. . .
