NPR is doing a call-in show regarding the Big Dig at 3 PM. I'm far more curious what the general feeling is amongst the people who live here than the excuses the politicoes are coming up with, and I figured I'd let others know about it as well. If you can't get WBUR from where you are (90.9 FM in the Boston area), you can always go for the streaming audio.

Post a summary?

(my summary might not be coherent, people kept interrupting me with, you know, work ;P)

I found it terribly disappointing, mostly engineers reassuring people everything was going to be OK than people giving their opinion on the incident and/or the Big Dig as a whole (which is what I'm interested in). The only impression I got was people are *not* pleased with the traffic problems the incident caused. I found myself wondering if offering cheap/free public transportation would make things better and help improve the PR aspect of the situation - I should've called in and asked ;P.

Chuckle. Silly people with silly priorities!

Thanks for the summary. The reassuring engineers pisses me off (yes, that's what you've said all along, why should we believe you now?) but that's nothing new, nor interesting really. Sounds like the public reaction isn't that strong, which is a little disappointing. But so it goes.
