The Halloween That Wasn't

I slept through Halloween. I went to take a quick nap before going to a party at 5:30ish, I ended up sleeping until 5AM. I must have needed the sleep, cause I actually got to ride a motorcycle in one of my dreams (something that's not happened before - I've seen them, sat on them, but never actually taken them for a ride) which is like my subconscious rewarding me or something. The handlebars were not ergonomic for me, I decided, so I was glad it wasn't my bike (I don't remember if I was test-riding it or borrowing it from a friend). It was a royal blue chopper, no black just chrome where it wasn't blue (including the handles oddly enough), with the handlebars sticking straight out to the sides and an unusually large (but extremely thin, so it wasn't actually that large it just looked that way) front wheel.
I also dreamed that something very bad was happening, like someone was trying to take over the world and make everyone be the same. I was running around MIT (which looked *nothing* like any part of MIT, but that's exactly what it was if that makes sense) and seeing a bunch of cool people I knew, and was trying to keep them and myself from being made not-geeky. I heard about this thing (three eye point? can't remember exactly) which was the resistance movement. I was told to go to a gathering of theirs without being told who/what they are, but I already knew somehow. When I realized I'd known about them, I determined the evil plot: the same day was being repeated over and over until the evil goal had been realized. Then there was other stuff, but I woke up before we figured out who was behind it, or what they were doing. I also remember thinking at one point, "This will go as it has always gone. Why do I even bother trying?" That was probably the most depressing thing about the entire dream. . . OK, OK, I get the message :).
I'm going back to bed now.
