A Good Day

The day began hanging out with friends and finishing flash cards for the Point Location final. After that my companion helped me swap for the summer tires and change the oil in Nekokaburi (mostly by keeping me company, but the extra set of hands was certainly nice for getting the wheels on hubs and the tires out of the house) - the summer tires were only a few PSI down, which is heartening. This was followed by chilling out in front of Lewis Black stand-up specials while my companion recovered from partying hard with a nap on my lap, then pleasant passing of time (ahem) with my companion (not in front of the TV ;P). While he continued to nap I went to work on signs & symptoms lists for TCM Theory, from which I am briefly taking a break to write this post. I passed up the chance to hang out further with friends, but with finals coming up it was the right choice and I don't feel too bad about it.

I wish more days could be like this - a good mix of studying, relaxing, being productive/active, and being social. Now that I have a better idea what such a mix would look like I'll see if I can make that come to be :).

I think it clearly shows the difference between a teenager nation like ours and a graying nation like England - little things like terrorist acts in major cities just aren't enough to get your dander up anymore :).

EDIT: Sorry, wrong icon. I'd blame not having had my coffee yet if I drank coffee. . .
