Motorcyclist's article was junk journalism, but I have said that many many times before. I won't go into the reasons unless you want me to.
What I said about high end helmets holds true even if you take that article as gospel. The helmets that meet the spec that they lauded as being the absolute best in the original article (before they cut out the parts that disgreed with their conclusion) are all composite. All of them.
Like I said, I'm sure it's a decent helmet, but I would lay large amounts of money tht it isn't as good aa helmet as your current one. And dont take my use of "decent" the wrong way. I'd feel safe putting my head in it, I'd just feel I would be safer wearing the Shoei or a higher end Shark.
