I will take offense
A victim of believers
Why do you hate me?

And with a new banning in Brynnistan we have a new rule: Don't tell me what anyone other than you thinks unless you're a mind-reader. And if you're a mind-reader, go get your million dollars already.

EDIT: Presented for your amusement value: a love note to yours truly. For those coming from said love letter, now that you've read my gloating of the glorious victory of banning someone I well and truly like from my journal, you may wish to read the post that started it all.

I'm not a mind reader, I just play one in Grad School.

Given what you've said about your advisor, I sure as hell wouldn't want to be any closer to being inside her head than you already are *shudder*.

I once came very close to reading minds, but it was a failure as everything I read was in Esperanto.

That is a terrible definition of failure!

Now, if everything was in Esperanto and sounded like William Shatner...

Well, I did try to translate it but the spelling was terrible and the sports analogies made no sense.

Just because mind reading and other mystic skills don't work when monitored by a magician, subjected to double blind studies, or if there is prize money involved, doesn't mean they aren't real.

You know, it was a lot more fun to watch Clinton try to define "is" ;P.

The best part is where, over in his journal, he still doesn't understand what you said. And still doesn't understand that he doesn't understand!

I almost jumped in this morning, but...err...thought better of it.

You know, he would make an awesome Paladin of Science, if there were such things.

Not jumping in was a wise move on your part. Just like not going to read whatever he wrote in his journal about it is wise on mine ;P.

If you're referring to whom I think you are, you did right. I made that mistake, and while I didn't get caught up in it, a commentstorm followed.

I put it down to the fact that some people simply like to hear themselves speak.

I think [livejournal.com profile] brynndragon's got the right of it -- he saw offense to his religion (i.e. "skepticism", whatever that is), and reason went out the window. The ironic parts are that reason is the basis of his religion, and that she was talking about how this very thing happening is annoying. It was like an awesome, recursive train wreck.

I mainly didn't want to get into it because [livejournal.com profile] brynndragon's journal was already getting cluttered with his rhetoric, and I didn't want to help add to that.

You are the soul of serenity. Trolling passes over and through you, leaving you untouched. Trolling is the little death, that causes commentstorms and banning...

You know Brynne... you're right...

You will write bad Hai-ku about it. ;)

Let it not be said that my haiku does honor to their subjects ;P.

Can we request bad haiku without having to be banned first?

From: [identity profile] benndragon.livejournal.com
You could. Hey, I'll make a post for people to request bad haiku to dishonor the subject of their choice. . . yes, I do like that idea.

Possibly the most despicable thing someone can do on the internet is ban someone from a forum and then gloat about it publicly.

The smell of hyperbole in the evening.

Yeah, that totally beats out encouraging people to meet up with you and then beating them to death.  Not to mention stalking, trolling, lying, and child predation.

Bad Brynn!  No soup for you!  Come back one week!

This is not a forum. This is my journal, the land of Brynnistan. If you don't like how I run my little piece of the internet, then you may leave.
